MXI Environmental Services just completed the 2016 HHW campaign. All the events for the year have been completed. The waste collected has been received at MXI’s Materials Recovery Facility in Abingdon VA. As of this writing most of the exempt hazardous waste and chemical waste has been processed or is queued up for disposal. “All the waste material is scheduled to be disposal of by the beginning of 2017. On June 18th MXI managed the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event for Greene County NY. The job was completed successfully and the citizens of Greene County were satisfied. MXI Environmental Services began the 2015 Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Season last Saturday on March 7th, 2015 at the Bergen County Utility Authority in Moonachie New Jersey. The FDA has embarked on “Project Clean sweep”, a lab chemical dispose initiative for alll their old and out of date chemicals at their various locations around the United States. We were tasked to handle the FDA Northeast Region Lab’s chemical waste disposal efforts.
